Heya, I’m Chan!
I create digital experiences that are intuitive, simple, and memorable.
I like things that are created with attention to detail. When you put effort into the craft, you’ll create experiences that not only solve a problem, but leave a lasting impression on the user.
I love sports. Mainly into football, cricket, MMA and a bit of Formula 1. Trying to get into Aussie rules footy, baseball and tennis. YNWA.
I’m a big fan of stand up comedy, an avid gamer, love reading historical non fiction and an aspiring film maker.
If you wanna work together or just chat about anything, lets meet for a coffee around Melbourne. Feel free to reach out.
Form follows function
Design should always be meaningful. A good-looking interface should never come at the expense of the problem it's meant to solve.
Steve Jobs famously said, "Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."
Less is more
The beauty in usability lies in its simplicity. A product becomes easier to understand, faster to interact with, and delightful to use when you get rid of its complexity.
Giving users more power doesn't always mean adding new things; it can also mean removing unnecessary noise.
Craft is in the detail
Small but thoughtful additions to a design add up to making a beautifully crafted product. Carefully designed microcopy, consistent behaviour, and animations all shape a product that feels trustworthy.
Give attention to your craft, and users will respond to it without even realising the details.
Never stop learning
Design is an ever evolving craft. The tools we use, needs of the user, or the technology of our time is always changing.
It's vital that we wake up every day filled with curiosity and a drive to learn and grow.
Own your work
I believe every team member should be an equal owner of the product. Be proud to have the burden of reponsibility. You get to be a part of building something special.
I'm working on this, stay tuned.
